Independent Auto Damage Appraiser

We are looking for professional independent auto damage appraisal businesses to connect with insurers. ACD is also seeking independently owner/operated auto damage appraisal businesses that hold proper licensure and certifications as required by their respective state of operation. The individual businesses or firms must have all of their own required tools including  auto collision estimating software, be experienced in handling auto damage (collision, theft, hail, flood etc) appraisals  and be ready to accept assignments on a contracted per file basis. This is a contract position and you will be paid per completed assignment.

Anywhere in the USA
REQUIREMENTS
  • This is not an entry-level, or a trainee opportunity. ACD provides no training. 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in auto damage estimating & technical training from Collision Repair industry or Insurance claims sector.
  • Must utilize computerized estimating software and provide all tools which may include, computer, smartphone, pocket rod, printers, etc.
  • Must have thorough understanding of collision repair and vehicle safety systems.
  • Must have detailed technical knowledge of the above.

Client Care Agent

The ACD Client Care Agent is the liaison between the insurers assigned to them and ACD. The Client Care Agent is actively involved in the onboarding process and is expected to expedite the flow of information and resources throughout both the rollout and the continuing client development and claims handling processes. The Client Care Agent works hand-in-hand with management to ensure delivery of services as promised to the client. The Client Care Agent serves at the direct point of contact for each insurance company assigned to them.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 4-year college degree, and/or professional insurance designations, and/or relevant long term experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5-years experience handling auto insurance claims.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile liability coverage.
  • High level of expertise, proficiency and aptitude with technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office, general database programs, and Internet & web deployed communication.
  • Availability for travel as needed with the understanding that travel may be required for all New Client Presentations and Roll-Outs assigned to Client Care Agent’s Team; quarterly client meetings as needed and other business presentations as requested.

Auto Damage Auditor **NEW!**

Summary
Analyzes claim files for accuracy to state compliance and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Review estimates and photos in the Audit Queue for compliance to specific state department of insurance regulations, manufacturers requirements and required collision repair procedures.
  • Review supplements and photos, supporting documents, invoices for compliance with state guidelines. Status as needed.
  • Answer calls from shops, networks, carriers and vehicle owners and answer questions as needed.

  • Status all files in a timely manner with findings.
  • Strong background in material damage estimating, claims handling terminology and the ability to provide supportive data and arguments to support our findings.
  • Insurance carrier subrogation experience required.
